Bismillah
Inspiration for great ideas often comes from the people in our lives
who are reflections of God, as we are. “Virtue” was born after a
comment was made about the numerous fitness magazines I had around the
house which featured women in body-baring workout clothes. Although I
initially resented the comments, the idea to create my own magazine
surfaced again. (Earlier that year, a professor shared with me a
magazine she and some other sisters created years ago.) What type of
publication could I enjoy with my daughter? I decided to create a
magazine that not only had women dressed modestly, but a publication
that would promote health along with righteous values. A magazine that
embodies the principles taught to me by my mother, Eva Flowers, who is
a beautiful example of virtue. I am also very thankful for the men in
my life like my brother, Vincent, who encouraged me to complete the
project, and my father, Ernest, who helped to protect my virtue as a
young girl.
Virtue magazine is designed to uplift morals and values of women around
the world. When you uplift women, you uplift the fabric of the family
and make it stronger. In addition to raising the standard of values,
virtue will feature spiritually based practical and holistic guidance,
fashion, exercise, nutrition, food preparation, and mental health.
Published quarterly, we hope to enhance the mind, body and soul of
women.
Peace and Blessings,
